What We Do Not Collect
Flip The Bill does not collect or transmit the following from your device:
- Payment card numbers, CVV codes, or bank account details
- Player names you enter in a game session
- Player photos taken or selected for avatars
- Bill amounts entered during a game
- Email addresses (unless you choose to sign in)
- Betting data, wager history, or in-app currency — none exists
- Precise location data
- Your device contacts or contact list
Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The following information may be stored using browser local storage or device storage on your own device only. It is not sent to our servers:
- Player names you add for a game session
- Selected avatars or emoji for players
- Photos taken or chosen for player avatars
- App preferences, including language selection
- Local game settings such as mode, game speed, and player count
You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser storage or uninstalling the app.
Player Photos
When you take a photo with the camera or select an image from your device for a player avatar, that photo is processed locally in your browser and stays on your device. Flip The Bill does not upload player photos to any server.
Analytics
We may use analytics to understand general usage patterns and improve the app. Analytics may include:
- App opens and session duration
- Game mode selected (for example: one pays, one wins, split)
- Number of players in a round
- Platform (browser, iOS, or Android)
- General feature usage
Analytics do not include player names, photos, emails, card numbers, bill amounts, or payment details.
Authentication
No sign-in is required to play Flip The Bill. Sign-in may be available for admin or testing purposes, or for future premium features. If you choose to sign in using Google, authentication is handled by Google via Firebase Authentication. We receive only a basic user identifier — we do not store your Google account password.
Payments
The Flip The Bill web app does not directly collect or process payment card details. Optional premium features (Host Mode) may be available as in-app purchases. When available:
- iOS purchases are processed by Apple App Store
- Android purchases are processed by Google Play
- Purchase management may use RevenueCat
Flip The Bill does not see or store your payment card number, CVV, or banking information. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple, Google, and/or RevenueCat under their respective privacy policies.
Third-Party Services
Flip The Bill uses the following third-party services, which have their own privacy policies:
- Cloudflare — website hosting and content delivery
- Firebase / Google — authentication and usage analytics
- Google Fonts — font delivery; font requests are sent to Google servers
- QR Server (api.qrserver.com) — when using the share feature, a game result URL is sent to generate a QR code image. No player names or personal data are included in this URL.
Each of these services may process limited technical data such as IP addresses as part of delivering the service. We encourage you to review their privacy policies for full details.
Children
Flip The Bill is a general social game intended for groups of friends. It is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this service, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects any changes. Continued use of Flip The Bill after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
